North Dakota gained two rigs from last week as stability in the crude oil market brought some players back to shale, state data for Monday show. State data show 30 rigs actively exploring for or producing oil and gas as of Monday , an increase of 7 percent from the previous week. Rig counts serve as a loose barometer for the oil and gas industry and, while easing somewhat, markets are swinging back to the demand side in a sign of returning balance.
