BP has made a final investment decision for an $8-billion expansion of its Tangguh liquefied natural gas (LNG) project in Indonesia, the country’s energy regulator (SKKMigas) said on Friday, and expects the project to be operational in 2020. BP has awarded a $2.43-billion engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract for the onshore component of the Tangguh Train 3 project to a consortium led by Indika Energy Group unit Tripatra, SKKMigas Chairman Amien Sunaryadi told reporters.
