Colorado voters may see issues on the November ballot on oil and gas development, an issue both sides of the debate said is important for state interests. Supporters were able to get enough signatures to move petitions to the November ballot, according to the Colorado Secretary of State. Initiative No. 75 would move authority over oil and gas operations out of the hands of the Colorado Oil and Gas Conservation Committee and into the hands of local authorities.
