Protests in Kurdistan turn violent

At least four people have been killed, dozens injured and numerous political party offices burned across Iraqi Kurdistan as protestors railed for a second day over a lack of public services and payment delays, including cuts to Peshmerga salaries. The Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) and Peshmerga leaders have urged protesters to refrain from violence, a day after intense clashes with guards outside a power plant in Chemchemal.
