There are indications that thousands of jobs may be lost as the confrontation between Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association (PENGASSAN) and petroleum industry service firms worsens. Leaders of the Petroleum Technology Association of Nigeria (PETAN) who met in Lagos over a spate of widespread picketing on the group’s members are currently exploring potent strategies to permanently deal with labour issues across the service segment of the petroleum industry.
