The head of Saudi Arabia’s state-owned oil company dismissed predictions that demand for oil could peak in coming decades, saying that forecasts for the growth of electric vehicles and renewable energy underestimate the continued dominance of fossil fuels. “I’m not losing any sleep over peak oil demand or stranded resources,” Amin Nasser, chief executive of Saudi Arabian Oil Co., known as Saudi Aramco, told the CERAWeek conference in Houston on Tuesday. He warned instead that more investment is needed in the oil sector to ensure there is enough supply to meet future demand.
