Severe weather striking the United Kingdom and parts of Europe means there’s a deficit of natural gas on the market, a British utility said Thursday. Utility company National Grid issued a warning early Thursday because of supply issues stemming from winter Storm Emma. The Met Office, the British weather service, issued a series of warnings for Thursday and Friday, forecasting heavy snow in some areas and gale-force winds. “Interruptions to power supplies and mobile phone coverage are also possible,” the latest warning read.
