The Democrat party is torn again between its more progressive members who want to make the Presidential election in 2020 all about the climate and those members who are more moderate in their climate views. About 50 members of the Democratic National Committee have officially pushed for the DNC to hold a presidential debate about nothing other than the climate, according to Huffington Post , but their proposal is getting some pushback. The DNC members plan to submit the official resolution in support of a climate change debate at the DNC meeting that will take place later in June.
