Mexico Pacific Limited is pursuing a mid-scale LNG export project in Mexico’s Sonora state. Mexico Pacific Limited (MPL) has awarded KBR, Inc. a pre-front end engineering design (pre-FEED) contract for a midscale LNG liquefaction project in Puerto Libertad, Mexico, KBR reported Thursday. “We are excited to be a part of this Mexico Pacific Limited LNG project and to deliver innovative LNG technology solutions for our customers,” Farhan Mujib, president of KBR’s Hydrocarbons Delivery Solutions unit, said in a written statement. “We believe midscale LNG projects have an important part to play in the global LNG market.” According to KBR, it will provide pre-FEED and a cost estimate under the terms of the contract.
